ResQRanch:
A Sanctuary of Hope in Conifer

Every year, across Colorado and much of the country, many horses face neglect, abandonment, and/or slaughter due to human failures. At The ResqRanch, we offer them a forever home and a second chance at a peaceful existence. Through training and rehabilitation, we make a difference in the lives of these animals, as well as the lives of the volunteers and supporters who help us carry this mission forward.

The Mission: Won’t you join us? 
Rescue: We provide permanent sanctuary to horses, donkeys, and other animals in need, including BLM mustangs, former racehorses, and special needs animals.

Rehabilitate: Using positive reinforcement (R+) training, we help our rescues overcome trauma and learn to trust again. Through our Pathways Project, we will offer the same healing environment to local veterans and mental wellness practitioners, with outdoor spaces dedicated to nature-based therapy available beginning in 2025.

Re-Educate: We empower volunteers and the community with knowledge and skills to create a better future for animals.

People are at the center of our mission, standing right alongside the rescue horses. Be the difference, not just for these animals, but for all of the animals that will pass through our gates over the years.
